Andy was born in Sheffield and from a very early age wanted to be a photographer working in the music industry. Whilst studying photography at college he built up a list of clients including the Crucible theatre. In between studies he worked as a photographer for the local student newspaper and was nominated for the Guardian Student photographer of the year in 1990.
A move to London created more opportunities to work in the Music industry and in 2000 Andy became the staff photographer at the famous music paper 'Melody Maker'
Whilst living in London Andy built up an impressive client list including, Retna Pictures, NCIS, Police Review Magazine and Alamy
In 2004 Andy moved to Cambridgeshire and opened a busy commercial and portrait studio. Andy now teaches Art and photography at a local secondary school. In between teaching he enjoys working with Photography, Digital Media, Oil, Acrylic and watercolours to create artworks often based on the local landscape and Ely Cathedral.
Andy's big passion is aviation and he runs an Instagram pictorial site focusing on Vintage and Military aviation @eastangliaphotos
